In addition the Gallery houses contemporary artists such as Peter Ellenshaw
among others, and a variety of decorative arts, including Steuben glass,
Wedgwood ware, engraved firearms, antique dolls, and silver by Paul Revere.
European artists have found their way to us as well. Among the oldest items in the Gallery are tapestries commissioned from Italian artist Giulio Romano in 1540. There are numerous sculptures by such artists as Antoine-Louis Barye and the French sculptor, Auguste Rodin, who is represented by works in both bronze and marble.
In addition to the treasures inside, the Gallery is surrounded by beautiful azalea gardens containing over 10,000 plants. The grounds are openj to the public year-round during daylight hours.
